Woodworkers Who Lend a Helping Hand

Rob-Portrait351In this issue’s Industry Interview, Chris Marshall profiles a program from Craftsman Tools wherein woodworkers use their skills and tools to help out people in need. Woodworker’s Journal often donates tools used in our magazine’s tool tests to Habitat for Humanity. Woodworkers, it goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway), are good people.

Helping out your own family (your spouse’s honey-do list, your son’s new house that needs some renovations …) might be just part of the expected par for the course of being a woodworker, but I wonder: who else have eZine readers helped? And how?

A wheelchair ramp for your neighbor? Birdhouses for your community garden? Flag cases for your local veterans’ organization? Do tell. (And send pictures!)
