Sometimes your best work for what you make for yourself…
This is a desk I built for our home. I build big custom furniture for clients and I wanted something great for my own house. We built our home a few years ago, and I had an office space that was perfect for a nice desk. The wood is alder, with walnut inserts on the doors. I design and carve all the artwork.

What else can I say but WOW.
That is a great looking desk. How did you carve the details on the front and the top? I use a lot of alder in doors, stair railings and trim but I have never seen a desk made with alder
