In the August 2012 issue, Ned Thompson asks, "Who Gets the Tools?' and asks what other readers will do with their prized collections.

As for me, since my adult children have found their own hobbies, I'm donating my tools to a local college. The Cerritos School of Woodworking Technology in Los Angeles is a wonderful college with an amazing woodworking program. Unfortunately, budget cuts in California have plagued our schools and it is becoming very difficult to purchase new equipment, and maintain some of the aging machines. I'll take pleasure knowing that when the day comes, thousands of students will be creating works of art using my tools long into the future.
