I am in the process of making a wild turkey call and display stand out of mesquite. I have worked with many hardwoods and considered spalled walnut my choice until now. Finding good mesquite is hard and also expensive, but I think it is worth it.

I have some pieces of mesquite with the bark still on them. How do you make a bowl like the one made from the mesquite burl?
