Filling Former Screw Holes
|
Some screws pulled out of one of the drawer fronts of a small dresser made of pressed sawdust, creating voids twice the size of a silver dollar. Is there some kind of epoxy that could be used which could also be sanded and painted?
Greg Williams: The epoxy sticks (which resemble a Tootsie Roll) will be the easiest and most effective way of making that repair. Available from Behlen (through such distributors as
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware), they are an almost perfect replacement for wood, and can be shaped, sanded, and finished.
