It's a quick, online lesson in how to read a Vernier caliper. Or, you could do what I did: buy a digital caliper. Not only is a digital vastly easier to use, it also allows you to reset zero anywhere and compensates for older eyes, like mine, that have a hard time seeing those little lines.
