When Clamps Lose Their Grip

When Clamps Lose Their Grip

Pipe clamps are expensive, so I’ve devised a way to keep them working even after they’ve grown old and “lost their grip.” To keep the pipe clamps from slipping, drill 1/8” holes along the length of the pipe at about 2″ intervals. With the clamp in position, insert a nail in the nearest hole; this prevents slippage when you apply pressure.
