I recently had to make several identical spindles for a project, so I got busy in my shop and came up with this simple but effective duplicator. The first step is to turn a spindle to be copied, (the master), then make the duplicator. With your master made, fasten a board (A), the same height as the ways, to provide more bearing for the cutting block, (B). The upper part (C) is fastened with screws, so the cutter can be removed for sharpening.
