15 Years of Lessons Learned

Rob-Portrait351As we mentioned a while ago, this eZine is 15 years old — a remarkably advanced age on the Internet. Which got me to thinking about what I was doing in my shop 15 years ago. (Luckily, I have a handy record of my work, as I was the editor of a woodworking magazine.)

Two skills I added to my woodworking accomplishments in the last decade and a half were working with veneer and woodturning. Now, I don’t claim to be an expert in either of those skill sets, but I am competent, and put them to work on a regular basis.

So what about you? What woodworking lessons have you learned since the year 2000? Maybe it is just a trick that you use all the time and that makes your life easier in the shop. Maybe you took up marquetry and have moved from woodworker to artist … guys like me want to know these things. Send me a note, as we will share as many of them as we have space to fit them in.

Let the lessons begin!
