TorZo Surfaces is now offering Denim, panels made from recycled denim scraps infused with an acrylic resin and laminated to a Baltic birch plywood backer board. The panels can be cut, fabricated and machined with standard tooling due to the infusion process. The 2’ x 4’ x ½” thick panels can be used either horizontally or vertically, for applications like tabletops, furniture, wall paneling and more. The Denim panels are offered in two surface treatments: one is finished without filling surface voids, which provides a more textured appearance. The other is filled and sanded, eliminating the majority of the surface voids. The Denim panels are made with 80 percent post-industrial recycled denim fabric scraps and comes in the natural blue jean indigo color, with panels varying in specific color and appearance. Pricing for the Denim panels is $40 per square foot for panels that are not full-filled and $50 per square foot for panels that have a full filled surface (sanded and coated).
