Dremel 4000 Rotary Tool Offers Many Updates

Dremel is ushering in the fall woodworking season with its brand-new Dremel 4000 Rotary Tool. Based on added features that reflect what consumers want, Dremel predicts that this new corded 4000 model will be the most versatile version yet.

The Dremel 4000 features a variable-speed motor that operates at 5,000 to 35,000 rpm. Some internal updates include replaceable motor brushes, a larger fan motor for better cooling and electronic feedback control to maintain consistent power under load. It is the only rotary tool that is compatible with all Dremel accessories and attachments, plus the Multisaw and Planer attachments originally created for the 400 Series XPR Rotary Tool. Additionally, several new attachments will debut with the 4000: a pistol-style Detailer’s Grip to improve control, as well as a Sanding/Grinding Guide so the tool can be used in hand or be securely mounted for sharpening flat or beveled edges.

Dremel provides a 360-degree grip zone on the Dremel 4000,and the On/Off switch and speed dial have been positioned so as not tointerfere with the grip. A shaft-lock and an easy-to-read speed dial are other helpful creature comforts.
