Innovatively Yours

Rob-Portrait351On Thursday night, November 1st, you, faithful reader, became a winner of a prestigious award. On that evening, Woodworker’s Journal was selected from a very competitive group of magazines and awarded the MMPA’s Innovation Award. We were primarily recognized for our online efforts, from our Online Survey Group, to our Resource Digest Online, travel blogs … but specifically noted as one of our successful and innovative products was the eZine and its new sister, the Premium eZine pages.

While it is a wonderful feeling to have your peers acknowledge your efforts in a special way, the most satisfying thing for me happens every two weeks with you all. You are the reason that our online products exist and are successful. Without you, I’d be like the blustering “man behind the curtain” made famous in the Wizard of Oz: much sound and fury — but little effect. So in a real way, the awards we received belong to you. (But I’ll still keep them in my office, if you don’t mind.)

Once again, I’d like to thank you for your continued readership and support. Keep your cards and letters coming (in an e-mail sense), and we’ll keep on reading and reacting to them. And oh yeah, congratulations on your big win … we think you deserved it.
