Milwaukee M18 3/8″ Cordless Right Angle Drill Driver

Milwaukee M18 3/8″ Cordless Right Angle Drill Driver

If you do much close-quarter drilling or driving – whether in your woodshop, under a sink or between floor joists for a home remodeling project – you might appreciate the convenience of a right-angle drill/driver. Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation has just added an 18-volt Lithium-Ion model to its cordless platform of M18™ tools.

The new Milwaukee Right Angle Drill Driver is the only one currently on the market with an integrated electronic clutch, offering 11 torque settings plus one non-clutch mode for drilling tasks. It also features a 3/8-in. keyless chuck with one-handed, tool-less operation for quick bit changes. An extended paddle switch makes trigger actuation easier when gripping the tool at the top, middle or bottom, which could come in particularly handy when working in tight or awkward spaces. So could its built-in LED worklight, to brighten up the fastening area. The tool offers from 100- to 125-in.-lbs. of maximum torque, depending on the battery used. Milwaukee says the tool’s 3.75-in.-long head also makes the new Drill Driver the most compact right-angle in the industry.

Milwaukee will offer the new M18 Drill Driver in three different kits, varying in terms of which battery and charger is included with the kit. Model 2615-20 ($99) is the “bare bones” version that does not include a battery or charger – you use the charger and battery of another M18 tool you already own. Model 2615-21CT includes one compact RedLithium battery, 30-minute charger and carry case for $199. The third variation – 2615-21 – comes with one XC RedLithium high capacity battery, one-hour charger and carry case for $229. All three kits will be available through Milwaukee Tool retailers and distributors next month.
