Milwaukee is in the process of introducing several new hand tools that feature a patent-pending Torque Lock™ adjustment system, allowing users to produce maximum locking force with a much faster and controlled setup. Included in the line are 10” and 7” straight jaw and curved jaw locking pliers, as well as 6” and 11” C-clamps with both regular and swivel jaws. Milwaukee Tool product manager Ryan Schwoegler said, “We found that many users were modifying their locking tools by welding a loop on the back end of the thumbscrew. This created a way to set up their tool faster and produce the necessary holding force with a screwdriver.” In light of this information, Milwaukee’s Torque Lock Locking Tools feature a thumbscrew with a more convenient geometry for hand force and a unique screwdriver through-hole design to produce maximum locking force. Prices for the pliers and clamps range from approximately $13 to approximately $23.
