Screws. Nails. Bits. These small pieces are necessary parts of woodworking, but where do you put them? If your supply of glass baby food jars is running low, The Lehigh Group has a solution for you.
Their Crawford division has come out with Portable Pegboard Organizers. They’re made of high impact durable plastic – which can withstand dropping much better than those glass jars – and they fasten to either 1/4″ or 1/8″ pegboard, to give your shop that clean and tidy look that you’ve dreamed of for years. When you need to take your tools and supplies out of your shop, simply detach the organizer from the pegboard, and take it with you for the day.
The Portable Pegboard Organizers come in a variety of configurations, to hold different supplies. The Parts Bin is single tilt-out bin that can be removed from its housing, which stays on the pegboard. The Multi-Bin Parts Organizer has, no surprise, two removable bins, plus four movable dividers, for a total of six usable compartments. You can take the bins out one at a time, or you can carry them all around at once with a convenient handle.
The Pegboard Tool and Parts Tray isn’t portable like the bin systems, but it does store up to 16 hand tools in a built-in rack, plus keep all the nuts and bolts — and other supplies — of your woodworking together in four bins.
The various organizers have suggested retail prices that range from $2 to $5. You can find out more about them, including retail locations, at www.lehighgroup.com.
