Here are the cabinets I built for my wife. The carcasses are 1/2″ MDF laminated with 1/4″ birch plywood and the doors are 1/2″ MDF laminated with 1/8″ X 3″ red oak stripes and I used 3/4″ x 3/4″ solid oak on all the door edges. The wood was sanded and left unstained, and given 4 coats of satin General Arm-R-Seal. The sink counter top is 70 lbs of concrete, polished with a 90 degree wet grinder using 50-3000 grit diamond polishing pads. The counter top was then sealed with 4 coats of an acrylic sealer.
