Bubinga wood with a unique “waterfall” grain pattern visible in every piece (featured in the “Once-in-a-Lifetime Wood” article in the April 2008 print Woodworker’s Journal) is currently available from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware. The limited supplies from this tree are available in slabs with thicknesses varying from 1″ to 1-1/2″, widths from 6″ to 14″ and lengths up to 60″. Price is $50 per square foot for 4/4 and $68.75 per square foot for 5/4.
