Woodworking: Las Vegas Style
I just got back from the International Home Builders Show, which this year was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Have no fear, my children’s inheritance (such as it is) is as secure as it was before I went to “Sin City”. I am not a high roller … or even a low roller for that matter. This show’s main focus was on home building and remodeling, but there were plenty of woodworking tools and accessories on display. (More on that in future issues.)
This raises a question in my mind. How much “woodworking,” when viewed from another point of reference (a spouse’s, for example), is considered home improvement? So I thought I would take this question to the people who really know … my faithful eZine subscribers.
Are your projects often “home” related? Do you make as many built in cabinets as you do free standing furniture pieces? Is there even a distinction in your mind between home improvement and woodworking? Give me your answers and I’ll let you know the results on our reader’s response page. I don’t know about you, but I find this sort of information so much more important than, say … the odds of filling out an inside straight!
