Woodworkers Doing Good Work

Thanks for your great ideas!

When you ask woodworkers what they like to build, like I did last issue… boy, oh, boy! The response has been not only huge, but helpful as well. As I’ve said before in this space, it’s great to be able to tap into the creativity of people who share my love of woodworking. I was not suprised at the variety of projects (ranging from musical instruments to toys to gazebos) folks were interested in, and yet there seemed to be a common thread: very often your projects were being built for other people. It seems woodworkers are often the kind of people who are ready and willing to do for others. This doesn’t surprise me either … as I’ve known a great many woodworkers over the years. Still, it is encouraging to know that there are good souls out there, willing to build a cabinet for a neighbor or an access ramp for a friend, or even to help an editor with some project ideas.

Thanks, and keep up the (truly) good work.
