Michael Dresdner: Sounds like the dado set is the problem. The best results will come from a sharp dado stack that has a negative rake on the teeth. That way, the bottom of the tooth cuts first, eliminating tearout. Take a look at a Forrest Dado King set and you will see what I mean about negative rake teeth – and clean cuts.
