I need a couple real good 10″ blades for my new table saw. I’ve bought very goods one before – but when they need sharpening, the cost is almost as much as the blade. I have been wondering if the manufactures would have a service to sharpen them? Anyway, anything you might tell me about good blades or the manufacture?s service would be helpful.
Michael Dresdner: I use Forrest blades exclusively, and have them do the sharpening. The cost of sharpening is about 1/10th the cost of the blade. Their blades are the best I have ever used, and their sharpening service is equally good. Generally, the two go hand in hand – a company that can make outstanding blades knows how to sharpen them.
