I would like to learn more about kiln drying. Please suggest publications that would me allow me to learn the specifics about kiln drying and how to set up one’s own kiln.
Lee Grindinger: “Dry Kiln Operator’s Manual” It’s the bible used by kiln operators throughout the country. It’s available through the Hardwood Research Council or National Hardwood Lumber Association. Get this one first, then decide what sort of dryer you’re going to use and look for specialty books on that particular kiln construction.
