Is there any finish that will prevent or delay the color change in purpleheart that is exposed to sunlight?
Greg Williams: Coatings containing UV inhibitors will slow that process somewhat, but they will not stop it from happening.
Richard Jones: If you pick one with lots of UV blockers you’ll get as good a delay as possible. Keeping the piece out of strong sunlight will help too.
