Is there any way or product that can be used to make the interior surfaces of bowls and vases not just water resistant but truly waterproof?

Michael Dresdner: Two-part curing coatings, including polyester and epoxy, will work to some degree provided they are applied thickly enough. You will find them sold as two-part decoupage finishing kits at most craft stores.
