Grizzly Adds New Tool Comparison Feature to Website

Grizzly ChartIf 2013 is your year to buy a new stationary tool, and Grizzly is one of the companies you’re considering for that purchase, they’ve just added a slick new search feature that could make the process quite easy. It’s a machinery comparison chart widget that generates an instant side-by-side cross-reference for up to four Grizzly machines at once.

The process for setting up a comparison is about as simple as it gets. Go to Grizzly’s website homepage (click here), then click on the “Comparison Charts” tab along the left-hand side of the screen. It will give you the option of selecting from among 18 different stationary machine categories in Grizzly’s inventory. Options include woodworking band saws, table saws, dust collectors, jointers, shapers, planers, drum and wide belt sanders, edge sanders, power feeders, mortisers, miscellaneous sanders and table saws, wood and metal lathes, drill presses and more. Then, four boxes with pop-down menus at the top of the page give you the relevant models of your search. Click on four machines that interest you. Their catalog specs, including pricing, fill out a chart at the bottom of the page.

From there, you can print the page out for future reference. Currently, you can’t save your search in a Grizzly account, but a few clicks makes the chart just as easy to recreate again.

I don’t know of another machine tool company that offers a similar search feature, but with the plethora of different models Grizzly offers, it sure makes sense for Grizzly customers! Give it a try, and see if you don’t agree.
