Woodworking Is for the Birds
Thank goodness that Spring has officially arrived — although it is always more of a concept than a reality for those of us who remain suffering from cabin fever here in the frozen North. Still, that concept has us thinking of days to come when the snow will have fled and the grass will be green, and the birds will return from the warmth of the South. (Leading me to question the terminology “bird brain” … I mean they went South and stayed warm. I stayed here and slogged through the snow. Hmm.)
Leaving all that aside for now, with arrival of the birds there will come a need for avian housing, which is where our Today’s Woodworker comes into the picture. I think his birdhouses will impress you. And if they do more that … if they inspire you to build a birdhouse, well we have that covered too. (Check out our turned “Apple Birdhouse” on the FreePlans page.)
So enjoy the eZine and the change of seasons. Here’s to woodworking and our feathered friends.
